I took a holiday in October. Lauren had wandered into a travel agency in her home town of Forres several months earlier and booked up a nice break for us both. Two weeks to visit Kassiopi, a small but popular fishing villiage on the north coast of the Greek island of Corfu. Unfortunately the dunder-heid selected a date that coincided with her brother's relocation to university in Dundee (a large and 'popular' fishing villiage to the north of the now-legendary River Tay.) Fortunately, the kind lady at Beaver Travel (for it was they) suggested that we re-schedule rather than cancel the trip altogether for only the smallest of fees. Re-scheduling was no great issue, but the flight arrangements would need to be altered somewhat: instead of departing and flying directly from Edinburgh, we were scheduled to leave from Manchester. Mitigatingly, we saved £megbucks in the process but had to arrange aviation between Edinburgh and Manchester.
My annotated gallery continues with a look at local Kassiopi culture.
