University Anniversary Open Day
The University of Stirling Celebrates 40 Years with Open Day

Stirling University Open Day - Saturday 30 August, 10 am – 4 pm
- teaching taster sessions in the MacRobert Playhouse on a variety of topics
- opportunities to try sports including golf, tennis, fitness, yoga, rounders, swimming, canoeing and orienteering
- academic department tours
- productions for children in the MacRobert
- children's sporting activities including trampolining, mini-golf and mini-kickers
- guided campus walks at 10am, 12pm and 3pm
- guided tours of the University Art Collection in Pathfoot Building at 11am and 1pm
- 'behind the scenes' tour of Airthrey Castle
- gardening sale at the estate greenhouses
- helicopter flights over the campus
- Central Scotland Police
- Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service
- special outdoor performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream
Admission to the Open Day is free as are most events and activities. However there is a charge for the helicopter rides (£15 per person or £50 for a family of four) and for A Midsummer Night's Dream (£6, concessions £4).
